Ruby Rue has packed her stew with a secret ingredient……
see below………
Ruby Rue makes magnificent stew.
Though her secret ingredient nobody knew
Though her secret ingredient nobody knew
Onions and turnips and celery root
Frog legs and toenails and of course eye of newt
Frog legs and toenails and of course eye of newt
Dinner at Ruby’s became all the rage
Her name dropped at parties, the society page
The line for a table became a quite joke
But Ruby was cordial as she pinched and she poked
All things have an ending, just as Ruby feared
The crowds had soon dwindled, her guests disappeared.
“Table for one,” whispered poor Ruby Rue
It’s hard to keep friends when they’re on the menu

What a fun illustration and rhyme… so perfect for the upcoming season. Was this created using your tablet? I am curious how that is working out for you.
Hi Lisa,
Yes this was done using my Wacom. I love, love, love it!!! And I enjoy digital so much more than I ever thought I would. Are you thinking about a tablet?
The frog on the hat makes it for me- great character and appeal!
You have great skills to do this on the Wacom. I do my ones on one as well but they are no way as beautiful as yours.
ooh this is so delightful!
hey, you’re becoming quite the poet! She reminds me of my very first ever IF post. My witch also had a frog on her hat and she was ‘smitten” with him! That was the word…smitten :)
Excellent illo Missy!

You did a fabulous work using wacom, WOW! I like her greenish face, the colors looks very natural, well-done!
A really fun, and well done Halloween piece! The frog looks a little concerned… maybe he’s the next ingredient.
The secret ingredient should be cajun seasoning. :-) And as always I’m late to see there is a tshirt contest!
