I guess we both had the Food Network on the brain! I Love this guy! Great face! So adorable! Very cool the way you reflected the candle light. This would be a great series for kids. Who is his opponent? Kat (cat) Cora? :o)

  5. Wonderful illustration Roberta! The mouse is very cute and I love all of the textures and colors. The background is beautiful and I love the sort of Swiss Cheese framing of the image. Very clever!

  12. Oh WOW!!! This illo is fabulous on so many levels!! I love how you lit the piece with the candle light- amazing!. And I love all the textures and little mouse-sized details that you included, I could search and look for ever! :) The caption at the bottom is hilarious and so perfect too…I agree with Jack, you should do a series and have some other characters like a Kat Cora “cat”. I’d love to see an animal version of my favorite Mario Batalli-heehee.
    Fabulous job!!

  13. This is cuteness defined, Roberta!! Love it! :) Love the bobbin candle-holder – such a cute idea.
