Illustration Friday ~ Focused
Not wanting to be considered a common fowl, Gallus Domesticus Kelly focused his energy on becoming just like his legendary big screen idol. Determined to fly the coop, he would rehearse endlessly. When not practicing, Gallus could be found looking sky word, searching for that one gray cloud. Then one particularly pitchy night, drops of rain began to fall. The other chickens ran in fear… but not Gallus.
Gallus was last seen at an Oklahoma bus station. He had with him, the clothes on his back, an umbrella, and in his hand he held a one way ticket to…. Hollywood.

OOh by the way, I asked my mom could you come over so we could have a play date. I have Dawn dolls and flatsies and lots and lots of Ovaltine! Hours and hours fun he he he he!! Oh, don’t forget to bring your Monkey’s album! I just love Peter!

Great work Roberta! Love the rain and the water on the sidewalk. Amazing! Love the movie and you certainly captured this scene with your chicken. So is he squauking in the rain?:o)

funny, I came before and was about to comment and then my phone rang and you know how that goes… i am over 50 sooooooo! Anyhooo i totally love this soooo much i have used this very idea myself for Microsoft many years ago and Gene Kelly could be one of the most inspiring dudes ever! Love your idea, execution, colours and all
