Just what makes that little ol’ ant
Think he’ll move that rubber tree plant
Anyone knows an ant, can’t
Move a rubber tree plant

But he’s got high hopes… he’s got high hopes
He’s got high apple pie in the sky hopes
So any time you’re getting low
‘Stead of letting go,
Just remember that ant.
Oops there goes another rubber tree plant.

tango72Ruby and Phil were soul mates.
She loved to listen to his incredible stories.
He loved her contagious laughter.
And on the dance floor, they were smokin!
Proving with out a doubt… that you’re never to old to Tango!

Rupa is a character that came to me last night while I was sketching. I didn’t intend to give her any color,  but Rupa with her magical personality won out.

And really…who could resist the charms of Rupa the gypsy crone!

There’s No Such Thing as Too Many Purses

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

I finally received my “u” shaped interchangeable purse closure… and of course I couldn’t wait to try it.

Just unscrew the nut and slip the bar out of the sleeve  and attach another bag body. With a very small amount of fabric and I came up with this brown bag.  This was a first try. Next time think I’ll put a gusset in the bottom and make the sides bigger and  more angled.

A trip to the fabric store was in order…. Just look at the possibilities!

hip hand bagThen I really scored with this fun book found at the bookstore. It has all kinds of nifty designs and workable patterns.  I’m excited to try some!

Still not enough? For some fun eye candy in the purse department, check out the blog U Handbag. Lisa Lam makes some of the most scrumptious purses and she’s very generous with her tutorials. You can even order many of your supplies there.                                         And really can you have too many purses?

Late Nights in Santas Workshop

Saturday, December 6th, 2008

I’ve been keeping some late nights trying to help Santa out. I bought this puppet stage for Liv but it had no puppets with it.

So these are what I’ve come up with. I made all of her favorite songs!
The last one I have to make is the ginger bread man.

Looks like I’ll be the audience for a lot of performances!
