Happiness is a butterfly, which when pursued, is always just beyond your grasp, but which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you.

I like to add personal touches to my illustrations.
Sometimes the members of my family will become models in a picture I’m working on.
I often get “the look” when I ask them to hold their arm a certain way, or tilt their head to a different angle while I do a quick sketch.
One of favorite models is my dog Cinder.
Now as many of you know, I have quite a few furry creatures.
I love them all equally, but when I draw a dog, most of the time it’s Cinder. I don’t know why. Maybe it’s the spark in her personality, or the shaggy coat that makes drawing texture so fun.
I know it’s not the smelly old dog scent that permeates the area while sketching her!
She’s good old dog, and pretty good model too!
