Well… this is what she chose for her birthday. A pretty straight forward, easy recipe to follow. I love to cook. No problem as Liv would say.
Today….. big problem!!!
My kitchen is small… very small. Add to that three scrap hungry dogs, two cats who hadn’t been fed yet and a two year old eager to cook! Not pretty.
The two year old runs screaming in fear from the noise of the food processor, I trip over the “all about me” cat, dropping cookie crust on to the floor. Of course, in come the dogs to the rescue!
No problem… as Liv would say.
We’ll have a thinner crust. On to the cream cheese. Its a little too hard to mix in, so I think I’ll nuke it for a few seconds…. or minutes… as I completely forgot I put it in there! In a rush to save it, I plop it in another bowl… and burn my thumb with molten cream cheese.
OK, we’re on our way, the recipe is nearly complete. No problem!
Hmm… top with additional cookie crumbs. No need to get that old processor out again, I’ll smack them against the counter in a zippered sandwich bag.
Yep… you guessed it, the bottom split and I now have crushed cookies everywhere!
