Illustration Friday ~ Talisman

Lady Belinda was beautiful of heart
Though her outward appearance gave town folks a start

Her dreams of a suitor had not yet come true
With only internal beauty, what’s a poor hag to do?

So she consulted her Grimoire and found a grand hex
She enchanted a ruby and hung it round her neck

She squealed to the mirror “Why Belinda… You’re hot!”
But her mirror was faulty… to others she was not!

The lesson to garner, so you won’t be alone…
Keep the hope in your heart and not in a stone.

Illustration Friday ~ Packed

Ruby Rue has packed her stew with a secret ingredient……
see below………
Ruby Rue makes magnificent stew.
Though her secret ingredient nobody knew
Onions and turnips and celery root
Frog legs and toenails and of course eye of newt
Dinner at Ruby’s became all the rage
Her name dropped at parties, the society page

The line for a table became a quite joke
But Ruby was cordial as she pinched and she poked
All things have an ending, just as Ruby feared
The crowds had soon dwindled, her guests disappeared.
“Table for one,” whispered poor Ruby Rue
It’s hard to keep friends when they’re on the menu

Illustration Friday ~Routine

This is the face of Marvella Modine
Before she starts her morning routine

The promise of beauty is what she expected
So she prods and she plucks and applies as directed

But all of their claims never are what they seem
Her solution you ask? Why it’s Miracle Cream!

If only Marvella worked as hard not to hide
The natural beauty revealed from inside.

Has anyone ever had trouble with their blogger account rejecting comments and sending rejection notices to the commenters? Only to have the comments post anyway??

Yeah it seems I am having this problem!!
So if you got a rejection notice from me I’m sorry I didn’t send it… it not my routine.
The little monster living in my computer and making it’s way through A Mouse in the House did! lol!!!
Thank you for all your kind comments about my dog. I value your virtual hugs, and I feel like drawing again!
