Illustration Friday ~ Undone II

stuck-santa-1 Yes… so after I’d finished Fly Boy I couldn’t get this poor red suited guy unstuck from my brain…. so here he is!

Save travels to your holiday destinations ya’ll!

Have You Seen This Guy

santa_flawYou better watch out… You don’t and you’ll cry
You better not doubt… I’m telling you why…
Santa Flaws is coming to town!

He smells like a fungus. He’s covered with lice.
He spits when he talks… and he’s not very nice.
Santa Flaws is coming to town!

He sneaks in while you’re sleeping
And eats up all the cake
He drinks the beer and kicks the dog
So beware for goodness sake!

You better watch out… You don’t and you’ll cry,
You better not doubt… I’m telling you why… Santa Flaws is coming to town!

The side of the family that no one wants to talks about!

Random Christmas Art

Gosh … it would have been nice to have won, but who would have thought that a hurricane would blow
through your home town rendered most of the schools and libraries closed for the duration of the contest! That’s Ike for you.
Still I learned so much just from participating.
The story is about Christmas so I thought I’d bring the artwork out and dust it off and give it a little holiday exposure.

Visions of Sugar Plums

In my studio I have a 1960′s Evergleam Aluminum Christmas Tree and a color wheel that changes the tree… and most of the room green, red, yellow and blue.
In 1959, the Aluminum Corporation of America released a pamphlet outlining the joys of owning an aluminum Christmas tree called “How to Decorate Your New Aluminum Christmas Tree.”. Also included were tips on tree safety, displaying your tree and how to create ornaments for your aluminum tree.
Aluminumtree.net has the full 8 page pamphlet for download as well as historical and purchasing information on their site.
