All year she’d been sharpening up her spell writing skills and practicing her hexes. This year she finally conjured up the courage to enter the grimoire display contest. So when they announced the annual HSWW (Halloween Society of Witches and Warlocks) conference, she was first to pay the dues and book a hotel room.

Loved the monstrous witch and couldn’t resist pointing you to one of my older witch illustrations http://www.stooryduster.co.uk/beglamour. I can’t commend enough to have a read of some Terry Pratchet books as he writes some excellent witch characters right down to faulty broomstick that requires the cantankerous old witch to run up and down the garden to get it started, and mid air broomstick’ magical refuelling. ‘Equal Rites’ ‘Wyrd Sisters’. They’re full of humanity, insight and humour.
